I’d like to do a live class/workshop/talk. Is there wifi to do so?
No, by design. We keep our shala WiFi and EMF-free as part of our dedication to eco-conscious principles. That said, we are committed to helping you record your offering in the most seamless way possible. Read below for more info on the equipment.
That said, if you have your own hotspot, you’re welcome to bring this and run a live session.

Does the shala come with recording equipment?
Yes! We provide the audio equipment, specifically wireless speakers by JBL. If you’ve never worked with this equipment before (or don’t consider yourself to be tech-savvy), worry not. Our founder Bovy will help you get set up, so your energy can be 100% focused on your offering.
As for the video recording, please bring your own laptop, phone and tripod to record with. Vertical and horizontal formats are both welcome.

How long can my recordings be?
You have up to 2 hours to use the shala. In this time, you can share however much you’d like. Two (1) hour classes, four (30) minute talks, whatever format and flow resonates most with you.
We simply ask that you keep your recordings to (1) hour each, which is the best format for sharing on Instagram TV (more on where we’ll share your class below).

If I wish to share a series of short workshops or classes, is there an opportunity to do so?
Absolutely. You can book as many times as you’d like, keeping the 2 hour limit per day. Workshops, intensives, trainings are all welcome.

What happens after the recording?
We wish to support the visibility of you and your offering on our Instagram page, featuring:
(1) A photo of you in our shala - like the reference below, though you have the freedom to feature yourself as you like
(2) The video recording of your class
(3) A few sentences in response to “How do you wish to support people during these times?”
(4) Your Instagram handle
We’ll be in contact after your booking to coordinate the details of this exchange.

Will post-production be provided to edit my final video recording?
No, we don’t provide those services at this time. We encourage you to make those edits on your own if you’d like to have a polished video.
