Getting Here

There are 2 main routes from Bangkok to Koh Phangan

Route 1 - Most Convenient 

From Bangkok to Koh Samui

The easiest way to travel from Bangkok to Koh Phangan is by direct flight to Koh Samui first (there are roughly 20 flights making this trip daily). Bangkok Airways is a good and reliable airline for this. From Koh Samui, you’ll take a ferry to Koh Phangan (see info below).

From Koh Samui to Koh Phangan

Upon arriving to Koh Samui, you’ll find the Seatran Ferry counter and book a taxi ride (to the pier) and ferry transfer to Koh Phangan. The closest pier to Ocean is in Thong Sala. You can also check their timetable and book in advance here.

From Koh Phangan to Ocean

Upon arriving to Thong Sala Pier, we can organize a pick up service (which can be booked 2 days in advance). Otherwise, you can find plenty of shared taxi rides at the pier.

Route 2 - Most Affordable (Longer Trip)

From Bangkok to Surat Thani

There are several airlines flying to Surat Thani, including Thai Airways, Air Asia and Nok Air. The total trip is 75 minutes long.

From Surat Thani to Koh Phangan 

Upon arrival, you’ll book a transfer (by coach and then ferry) to Koh Phangan using a travel operator or agency at the airport. The journey from the airport to ferry takes about 90 minutes, and the ferry to Koh Phangan lasts 2.5 hours. 

From Koh Phangan to Ocean

Same as option 1.
